Ever since my eyes on this very post for the first time, my journey to find Pterinochilus murinus DCF, Botswana/Zimbabwe has started.

Below is the post

Since then, almost for three years, I literally searched everywhere to find this particular Pterinochilus murinus sling, but I had no luck. Best I could get my hands on was Pterinochilus murinus (DCF, Kigoma).

But today, oh yes today, my long journey has come to an end finally.

I found the place, and bought one Pterinochilus murinus (DCF, Botswana). Initially I was going to buy two or three at least, but it won’t let me. Thus I just ordered one, but then guess what? As soon as I ordered one, it went out of stock. I got ‘the last’ one.

I cannot wait!

They turn up quite often on dealer lists over here in the UK.

Didn’t even know this color variant existed until you posted something. Thought to myself, “Good for him! That must be exciting.”

Id imagine it’s a hard one to find.

Maybe an hour after this post, I called around to a few breeders I buy from locally to see if they picked up anything new recently, which resulted in a slew of some species I’m not really interested in. At the end as I was hanging up with one, they said OBT zimbabwe, and I didn’t think anything of it and hung up.

Then it hit me like a Mack truck. I scrambled to call back. I had them send me a picture. It’s a ______ (insert select word here) regular orange OBT. I won’t be going there anymore.

I do not own any old world tarantulas yet (wanting to gain some experience from my NW tarantulas first) and OBT's might be my favorite OW tarantulas, but I had no idea there were that many color forms for them! Really liking that Tanzania DCF.

I seriously need to stay away from this forum... I promised I wouldn't let my collection grow too big. :p

Now now, if I can be a little more greedy, let this unicorn be a female.
If I was a gambling man I’d bet you’d have a 50/50 shot. It best be female, otherwise a back ally sex reassignment specialist will need to be found on the dark webs to make it right.
