Thatโ€™s more helpful- faded a bit, or variation. I see the triangle and better leg markings now.

She's a little cutie ๐Ÿ˜Š would definitely do more sub though my emilia built quite a deep tunnel in her sub 6-8 inch n she's about 2 maybe 3 inch brachypelma do love to dig or all mine do ๐Ÿ˜Š plus ya don't want to risk her falling from that sort of height it could really damage her I usually leave the spiders leg span between them n the roof of their enclosure 20211110_065208.jpg
My girls enclosure it did have plants too but Sizzy pulled them all out and so you can she her size reference 20211102_194751.jpg
As you can see the gap between the sub n roof isn't bigger than her and her tunnel is quite large , am sure your new girl will love the extra ๐Ÿ˜‰ good luck with her hinny she's really pretty ๐Ÿ˜Š

Good to know. I'll add more sub. My g. pulchra has lots of sub, but I knew from the get-go they're burrowers. I'm new to the brachy's.

Brachypelma are my true love I have 5 atm but will be 7 by the end of the week and have the 8th on order off a friend ๐Ÿ˜Š all 5 of mine burrow , they don't shift dirt like grammostola do but will happily build a large burrow. I am told as they become adults they will stay out in the open but so far Sizzy is my biggest Brachypelma at 2-3 inch ( probably closer to 3 after her last moult) and she still made a burrow the depth of her sub and is in it every night spends her days doing star spood on the side of her enclosure ๐Ÿ˜† you'll have fun with Brachypelma it's a brilliant genus soon you will want them all ๐Ÿ˜

Update: So I corrected my b. emilia's habitat. I relocated him in a small container to keep him out of the way- he's feisty... when I first removed the lid, he popped out of his hide and faced my direction. No fear. Anyways, I got him off to the side, added a lot more sub, more moss and overall a more appropriate setup. Put him back in with no issue, (nor handling), and he seems just fine. Little guys already rearranging things. Can't win. ๐Ÿ˜ 20211110_100754.jpg 20211110_103534.jpg

That's a great viv for him and the fact he already started rearranging it means he is happy coz he is setting up home ๐Ÿ˜Š they don't do that if they're stressed and can I just say grats on correcting your enclosure so quickly that's what makes you a good keeper making sure your t's needs are met there n then not in a week's time ๐Ÿ™‚ enclosure looks great btw ๐Ÿ˜‰

No name yet. I do name them, and I definitely don't wait to sex them first; I have to call them something. Well, my two amblypygi (a big male and smaller female) are Severus (m), and Bellatrix (f). My first T. is a little 1.75" g. pulchra whom we named Coco for neutrality. Once we figured it's a boy (ventral "arch", and incredibly fast growth) my son liked Jack, so organically we just call it Cocojack. Don't know about the brachy yet. He is bold, i know that much.

All my brachypelma are bold very food motivated and often out, you'll definitely need a good strong name maybe as seen as you have Harry Potter names you should go down that route maybe lucius can always shorten it to Lucy if he turns out to be a she ๐Ÿ˜Š

So boldness is a brachy trait? Good to know. Yeah, he hasn't really used his hide much. He's always out or up in a corner. Nothing like my Grammostola.

That's all mine does when it's not eating or molting. Little excavator.

Do you have any arboreals? If so, what's their care like?

My son has a Carabiner versicolor very shy, good ventilation and humidity is the key with those, he is 7 so I feed and take care of her but had her about 7 months now just a sling.
(only been collecting 11 months ish but researched for a year before that)
I also have a thrixopelma ockerti they burrow and are arboreal too I have had her about 2 months pretty little sling and good eater pretty easy care again ventilation, hight, deep sub and humidity and your golden. I also have some true spiders that would be classed as arboreal 5 species of eresus, a velvet spider, and a phidippus regius (jumping spider) they are super easy to keep tbh food hight lots of web points ventilation they can't escape from and you've got a happy spider ๐Ÿ˜Š
All I can say is do your research first, surch bar on here is a wealth of info and obviously you have utube (Toms Big spiders and daves little beasties are good) but be careful with info on there it's not always correct and what works for one may not work for you their air could be dryer or more humid or it could be warmer or cooler where they live ect just get as much info as you can and make your own informed decision, its what I did ๐Ÿ˜Š

No problem I was always asking questions on here when I first started that's how you learn and luckily people on here are really friendly and happy to help, it's nice to be able to do the same for others ๐Ÿ˜Š there are some on here who are quite blunt but they have been answering the same question for years so you can forgive their rudeness when you put yourself in their shoes ๐Ÿ˜† Have fun with your new found friends hinny and if your curious just ask ๐Ÿ˜Š
