Moist to touch substrate with a multi layered soil and sand mix. Light to touch on the saturation of soil moisture. Moderate to moderately high temps from. 65-80°. Ive heard they can tolerate up to 90° for good growth. Vertical corks with rounded segments to make for hides so keep somw tighter areas of stacked cork. They are a Brazilian species and don't really have a concrete housing being more northern. Humidity is pretty key with them up in the 70s or higher so misted down enclosures with some peat moss here and there will help a lot. Haveing a communal is always recomend to throw in 2 to 1 prey item for ever scorp. Females reproduce fairly rapidly. If heard the create birthing baskets and reproduce upside down so keep in mind vertical surfaces. They will drop a brood and have another in a litte less then 2 months. So if you get females fair warned if I'm you are trying to go for more. Keep good ventilation to create a breathable environment. With a chance of escape all scorpions find an avenue of escape. Best advice is to find an enclosure that has no open front door or one that is a taller vivarium type glass enclosure to ensure they can't climb the walls. Last thing you want is babies running a muck. They are the higher envenomation for stings in their location so keeping the safety in mind is key. Great communal species and don't exhibit cannibalism much at all so just follow some of these steps and you'll have a sweet setup!

i usually start all my animals young...spiders, snakes, scolopendras :) just lately i have been interested more in spiders and scorps and scolopendras than snakes
so i said best way to do it is by having them from begining
