Hi guys, I recently acquired 7 Tityus Stigs from my friend and was wondering on your thought for keeping them communal from the start? They just got off their moms back and are instar 2.
Or should I separate them in separate pill bottles until they grow older?

There's always a chance of cannibalism but these can coexist fairly well. If you don't wanna run the risk, it's not a bad idea to seperate. I seperate all of my babies just because. I've never lost a single youngling this way. They are parthenogenic so once they hit maturity if there's a female or 2 they will have babies but could also potentially mate in the enclosure as matured.

Tityus one of the most communal species available they will be fine in a communal. I have seen these maintained in huge multigenerational communals in enclosures.

I've seen some impressive communals. Just always gets me nervous about haveing so many! I don't wanna end up missing any to get fed or taken care of. Respect for those who go the lengths to get so many pumped into one setup.

Agreed. If you are not careful you can find yourself with tens or hundreds of them. Which if it gets out of hand will need to be sold or culled.

I know a gentleman I met at the Expo in Puyallup WA, who is on the board and he has a massive community of Centruroides Gracilis and had 3 mothers brood up AT the event. Lol. I'm like damn bruh you got some work ahead of you! Lol

My female centruroides Gracilis had 2 broods of 24 and 25 and that was a challange finding homes. Still have a good 18 or so maybe still and on top of that my 8 other species I carry. My Regalis Jumping spider had 4 egg sacks and only was able to save and keep 2 of them. There was an easy 200+ spiders and I'm down to like 16 or so maybe now.

Thanks for the help guys. Appreciate it. I’ll probably keep them together. 2nd instar, would you guys feed them prekilled crickets I guess?

Just toss in some pinhead crickets and watch the hunt. Try to add roughly 2 to each scorpion or so to make it easier for them to find the prey items.
