Titan Bolts, the yellow sac spider, was looking slow and inactive for a week or so, and turned brown.

His "girlfriend" Darla Mustard did this before molting, but I assumed Titan to be fully grown since he was already making sperm webs. I really thought the end was near for him.

Well, much to my surprise, this happened! I wonder if Darla also has another molt to go, since she's a similar size to what he was.

Nice! I kept a yellow sac spider for a bit, she was doing fine at first and eating and even molted with me, but after a while she stopped eating and just started running circles around her enclosure. Like, she would sit in her hammock during the day, and at night just pace around her enclosure circling the area over and over again, and wouldn't pay any attention to the prey I was leaving in there. I ended up rereleasing her because I felt bad for her, I think they need way more space than I was giving her! They're super active, more active than even any jumping spider I've had. I might try again someday with a larger enclosure, what are you keeping yours in?

I had one named Peaches that we found on the ceiling last fall. Thought he was mature but got 3 molts out of him. Every time I swore it was his last 😆. He made it a good 5-6 months after the last one. He kicked the bucket last week so it's nice to see other people enjoying this species!

Kept mine in a 4x4x4 and he seemed pretty happy in there making hammocks and running around like a little maniac all night.

There’s hardly any spiders here I used to see little funnel webs the true spiders but they seem gone . So even if I wanted to catch one forget it , and centepede here are too tiny I set them free they were impractical to catch and keep .
