Had to share the picture I took of my little C. Elegans sling. It has a legspan of just 1/8"! Takes down fruit flies fiercely though- even though they are almost bigger than the sling! {D {D {D

Yeah, that's a tiny little sucker!

It would be fun to watch it take on something its own size. My C. cyan juvies do that all the time. They're maybe 2" and they take adult crix down all the time. I love it.

Awe! So tiny! Hopefully it will grow quickly for you. The smallest slings i ever raised were 1/4 inchers. I fed them pinhead crix. It was sorta cute watching them stalk one and then take it down when they were that wittle bitty.

Cute it is indeed! It's funny that everytime I see "C. elegans" I instantly think of Caenorhabditis elegans first.

I did not have a healthy respect for exactly how small these were until i got an adult female from Ryan, all i could say was WOW, i cant even imagine how small those slings must be! They are so worth it though, very beautiful species and interesting to watch :).

Yeah, this is one of the babies Ryan hatched out, I can't quite imagine how small they were at the eggs with legs stage! Even hearing the measurements I didn't really wrap my head around their tiny size until they showed up. They are doing great though, building little burrows in their vials. I'm always amazed at their tiny size when I see them.

I've wanted a c. elegans for a while, so I couldn't resist when I saw that he had a sac and was selling the babies! I hope they continue to grow and do well, they are tons of fun. (I should put their enclosure next to the l. para when they grow up for some major size contrast, LOL)

Congratulations on getting one the cutest T's there is!
What are you going to name it? We named ours "Valentine", for the sweet heart shaped mirror patch on her hiney..lol!
