tiniest little toad i ever did see

found this little guy just a little bit ago outside my basement...i have never seen one this small that i can remember...he measured about 1 1/4" stretched...he was very hard to get to hold still for his photo shoots...i released him shortly after

yeah he is...i normally see monster ones and medium ones...

awww so cute. I saw one not much bigger last night.

He looks mean, you're crazy to put your hand so close to it like that!

We used to always catch tiny ones about the size of a small finger nail. So cute! :)

I ran onto one a little bigger than that one-maybe slightly under the size of a golf ball- the other night while I was walking the dog. I brought it home for a photo session. You speak the truth about getting a picture. You finally get it to hold still for a second after a dozen attempts,, get it framed and focused and are ready to press the shutter button and then *HOP!*


Here are a couple results...

thats cool...nice pics, and yeah really focus, then HOP....happened almost every time...i think i took 10 pics, and 2 were good enough to keep...
