Well... yes, A. braunhauseni is the proper name for a Goliath Pink Toe but that's not to say that is necessarily what you have there. So many Avics look the same... A. braunhauseni's are rather large for avics so if that's what you have it wouldn't be full sized yet. It could be a mature A. avicularia or an A. metallica or a hybrid of some sort.

Nice looking T though, post a closeup of the area between the forward book lungs for a guess on the gender.

Based upon what I hear things cost in Hong Kong I don't think $50 is out of line for any female T that size. I'll let others more experienced with avics speculate on what it is.

You got it yesterday, I wouldn't stress it out. Most T's will eat as soon as you get them, but if they don't it's no reason to stress out. How is it looking weak? And being unable to climb smooth surfaces can be a sign of pre-molt, so that may be the case.

Difficulty gripping smooth surfaces is a possible indication of premolt. Also, I think from her drab coloration that she looks premolt as well. When she molts that can help with species ID too. A. metallicas are fairly unmistakeable just after a molt. They look like this:

See all the white tips on the longer setae (hairs)? That's what A. metallicas look like. If your T molts out with normal red setae i'd guess, because of the size, that it's a real braunhauseni. I don't know about HK but in the states they aren't all that common.
