I was taking pictures of Manson's home to show some friends, well she didn't like being bothered.

two seconds later, she attacked the brush. She held on for about 20 seconds before she bit for a second time.

Normaly she only gives a little display or flicks some hair if annoyed, I don't know what her problem was today. Sometimes she is really docile, I can pet her, prode her with my fingers, whatever. Now I don't know if I will ever try to touch her again. Evil beastie

That is so funny..."most docile beginner's species", indeed! This is pretty much the default mode for two of the G. roseas I've had(still have one, the one that actually latched onto ME like yours is doing with the brush)!

After seeing the holes she left in the brush I definatly don't want her to get me.

Maybe she was hungry or just wanting a hug and a kiss.
I was trying to kiss her, thats why she was so mad

After the pics she went into her hide and webbed herself in for awhile then she came out and attacked a roach. she hasn't been eating much latley and is spending a lot of time webbed in her hide, maybe shes getting ready for a molt?

At least my rosie sling doesn't try to eat my hands when I open her cage, maybe I will have one decent tempered rose:rolleyes:

sounds like premolt to me...some of my T's get more defensive in premolt too.

It would be so cool if she molted soon. I've only kept T's for awhile now and havn't had a molt yet.

LOL. So this is the T that gets recommended to novices for their docile nature! Obviously your rosea hasn't read the Tarantula Keepers Guide! {D

Think I'll take my chances with a T. blondi before I get a rosea. :D
