All you forum members with dogs (or other tick-infested pets), take note. My dog Joe (RIP buddy, miss you) would pick up the occasional tick and we'd grab the little SOB and yank it loose. Not a very good solution, but better than leaving it on poor Joe. Then one day I discovered the Tick Trick: cover it with Vaseline and it can't breathe, then it comes off on its own and you won't traumatize your dog! No chance of leaving part of the tick in the wound either. Afterwards we'd take the Kleenex with the tick inside and flush it down the toilet. Joe would watch the ceremony with interest, tail wagging.
