Looking for some husbandry/care advice for Thrixopelma ockerti. I am getting it on Thursday. It is a one inch sling. From what I have read they start out as terrestrial with a tendency to burrow as slings and as they get older they prefer an arboreal set up. Any advice on enclosure and care so I am ready for Thursday is greatly appreciated !

Very beautiful and very flicky. Good eaters and decently fast growers. I raise slings just like any terrestrial and indeed, house them arboreally or semi-arboreally as adults. My adults spend only a small amount of time on the ground,

That's been my experience, too. Mine doesn't hardly spend any time on the ground, but it also doesn't stay all the way at the top of the enclosure like an Avic does - it kind of dwells in the space in the middle. Mine hasn't been a big webber either, just a little webbing here and there. Pretty hardy and easy to care for, though. Eats like a pig.
