i don't know much of anything at all about snakes, anything i should know before accepting his offer?

Actually, you don't have to feed prekilled mice. I think that it's a good idea to do so if you can train it to do so at an early age. It reduces the risk of the mouse biting the snake. But in the wild, snakes generally eat live prey. I had a black ratsnake that I raised from an egg and kept for 9 years. It wouldn't touch dead food. Although if I knew then at the time that it hatched what I knew now, I would have started it on prekilled food.Originally posted by Frostbyte
I just bought a baby corn snake .. I dunno ... #1 you need to feed them pre-killed mice . Frozen -Thawed is better , and they require a hot and cold area . It can be a handful trust me
