Thanks!i dont really know about wolf spider care but they need soft substrate, lots of floor space and obviously a water dish ( a bottle cap might do)
I will, I found him down at a woodpile nearby, so I'll release him back there and look for a female.That looks like a male, it’s probably best to let him go to find a mate, go out at night with a flashlight and hold it at eye level and you should be able to find a juvenile or a female which would live longer
Thank you so much!They are really easy to find once you get the light right, if you have any questions I can try to help! I use a headlamp but a regular flashlight will work if held at eye level. Just look around and look for little sparkles in the grass.

A fond childhood memory. Sitting on the grass at night in Chula VIsta at my aunts horse. The grass used to be a horse corral and the place was wall to wall spiders. Mesh webs and lycos everywhere. Turned on my flashlight and there were dozens of little bright dots like stars in the grass wandering about.Just look around and look for little sparkles in the grass.
