Does anyone know the actual citation for the "7 year study" or the one that ranked Pitts 4th from the bottom? I just wrote a letter to the editor of our student newspaper after someone wrote an anti-pitt article (Ontario is considering a ban). If they come back, I will need further ammo.

Cheers,
Dave

Recently in my home of Albuquerque, New Mexico two small children were attacked by a pit bull. I don't know the whole story but I guess the two kids were playing in a park(being watched by their grandmother) and suddenly a lose pit bull attacked the 7 year old girl, the girls older brother(age 10 I beleive) tried to get the dog off her and was then attacked himself. Eventually a man managed to get the dog away from the boy. In the end both children were in the hospital. The girl was released soon but her brother is in critical condition. The dog was of course destroyed.

Can we get a link to the news report? Often any dog that attacks someone is called a pit bull, whether it is or not. I was raised around many staffordshires, chows and dobermans. The only one that I ever witnessed any aggression with was a certain big male chow. He was a beautiful dog but had a very aggressive streak and was put down rather than possibly passing on that trait or harming anyone.
