So I bought her!!! I have had my eye on this girl for two months now at the pet store, but never had the $100 to buy her. You might even agree that this Brachypelma is just freaking stunning and hard to compare. The pet store actually saved her molt and I got to sex it and it was female, so I dropped the cash!

Freshly molted sub-adult female Brachypelma emilia:

The reason why most local pet stores only have G.rosea, A.avic, and sometimes A.seemanni and not more rare species is beacuse they can only get the Ts they are on their order sheet, and 90% of the time thats the only three species they can get. Sometimes they can get other ones, but it costs them more, and most pet stores (that i know of) don't wanna dish out lets say $20 to $40 on a more rare T that someone may not even buy.

Excellent Deal Dwayne and she is a beauty. If mine is male maybe we have another breeding project on our hands ;)

Man I can't wait til mine looks like that! Gorgeous T, well worth $100.

I guess we're lucky around where I live, our pet stores have lots of different species. But they overcharge big time! I paid huge for an adult female E. campestratus. But she's awesome, so I'm happy.

Whoa... drooling here...

That IS one gorgeous emilia. I would have bought her too, in a heartbeat!
It seems unusual that a pet store would procure and carry these.
I'm lucky to see a GBB at any pet stores around here.

Nice specimen...but not as stunning as Holley's freshly molted boehmei!
You must agree with the majority!!!!

Thanks for the compliments everybody, I am sure you are making her more conceited then she already is.

Try this on for size, like a pull-up diaper. ;)

My petstore is great they carry a lot of species. They have had Brachypelma, Haplopelma, Poecilotheria (outrageously overpriced), Avicularia, Pterinochilus, Citharischius, Grammostola, Aphonopelma, and many more that come and go. Not many buy spiders from them. I think me and another guy are the only ones that buy them. I feel that they buy them just for me to pick out like a candy shop!

Your emilia looks kind of like mine Dwayne. This is the one that I bought and then coulden't bear to sell.

Here's mine and in her glory...since we're posting B. emilia's. Mine will be gone soon for a trade. I will miss her but I will be getting a fair trade.

You both have nice B. emilia, but mine has a more seperated black triangle and red carapace. Neither color fades into the other like on yours. Also, the leg colors are nice. ;P
