Yes, and it's a snake -- Yellow anaconda. Set it down for two seconds and it took off like a streak of lightning.

Very good example of just how small a space they can get into. Hope you get it out unharmed.

It was actually out a while ago. I just pulled everything apart. He's 100% okay as far as I can tell.

Once I removed everything, he pretty much fell out, there wasn't anything else for him to hold on to.

I haven't actually taken time to measure it, but I'd say just a little over 4 feet.

It got in there for the reasons I said in my last post. I don't keep the case on my computer because it gets a little hot otherwise -- the case is way too small for the computer, so the heat builds up quick.

I think now's a good time to clean out the blue heat sink. ;)

Glad to hear the guy came out okay.

You're really developing a fake photo obsession with this anaconda, aren't you man.... ;) Although I have to give credit where it's due... if not for the obvious dimensional discrepancies, this would look pretty real... nice touch with the "shadow" on the snake's body under the wire.

EDIT: since he said the other one was real, let me say in advance that if he says this one is real to, I nominate him for best "photosthatlookfakebutarentographer" award... :)

God dammit, I can't tell if you're being serious or screwing around.

All I'm going to say is it's real. I almost feel like I'm being trolled so I won't bother with any more than that.

And I'm in a bad mood, so if I just so happen to come off as pissed, this is why.

I think sometimes digital photographs sometime do things at the edges of objects (especially moving or contrasting objects) that make them look a little odd, so that they look like they could be faked, even if they're not.

Although I lack the ability to really recognize the signs of fakery, my logic tells me there's no real reason to fake these images. Usually, fakes are done to make an animal look bigger, more colorful, or an outrageous situation. Remeber, the main motivation for faking a picture is to get a shot that would be impossible or at least very difficult to get otherwise. Definately not the case here! If he wanted a picture of the snake in a computer, it would have been easier to just let the snake crawl inside on it's own! Since that would bean odd thing for Nick to do, and I have enough experience to know that this is exactly the sort of thing snakes will do, I belive the story as told.

In the case of the other photo, it seems it would be easier to just keep snapping pics until you got a good one with the tounge out. It's not like the pics are costing anything or that snakes are stingy with the tounge flicks! Photoshopping a bad pic seems like it would take more work than just being patient. Again, I believe the story as told.

In short, I don't see any motive for faking these pictures, so I believe they're real.

Valael,

I'm not trying to troll you... for some reason those pics both had a number of artifacts that seemed to indicate alteration. I didn't mean anything personally man :) I guess I'm just mistaking normal digital artifacts for alteration artifacts. I must admit though that I have absolutely no idea where on earth there's room in that case for the other 3/4 of the snake's body.

I'm being as honest as I've ever been in saying they're untouched other than lowering the quality and/or size.

In the computer, the snake is also going down behind the hard drives which you can't see in the picture. He's also going upwards towards the floppy. (You can see it if you look closely, right above the wire above the upper portion of the visible body)

His actual head was down at the bottom, below the hard drives.
