How small is that sling. It doesn't quite look like G. aureo to me.

It is a little smaller than a quarter, and was purchased from KenThebugguy.

Well..........maybe it's just the lighting then. It might need another molt or two to show the adult colors.

It wouldn't be the lighting. These were shot with studio strobes, using a light meter, to best mimic sunlight. Those are the spiders true colors right now :) Who knows though...maybe he mixed up a couple vials, and I received a different species by mistake

I agree that does not quite look right to me either but we double check our shipments so you should have gotten a chaco. Granted enhanced pictures make them look different sometimes with good lighting and such...can you take a regular old photo and send it to me or post it?

Looks more like our La Diff tarantulas

Here is a picture without the flash-

I couldn't have it mixed up with any other slings I own, because the only other species I own right now are C. brachycephalus, P. murinus, C. crawshayi, B. smithi, and B. boehmi.

Edit: This one was shot in regular sunlight, outside. It's a little darker because I didn't have any flashes or studio strobes helping me out with lighting.

This is what mine looked like at about 1.5" leg span. He was this size when I got him.

Hmm, darn. Would you be able to identify it, Ken? :)

Also, I shot you an email...do you think you could shoot me a call about this particular animal, so we could discuss it? :) Thanks!
