the history of tarantulas?

ive been looking for the history of tarantulas and i cant find what im looking for.
i want to know the first pet tarantula, when did it get popular (or more acceptable). native amercian folklore on tarantula or any ancient race on tarantulas (not spiders). How long did it take
for there to be a diversity of tarantulas in the pet trade.
and other history(not how they got their name).
can anyone help me out?
