Most stores are still open, including the one in Brentwood. Bankruptcy is a process, not an immediate cutoff. The original article estimated about 35 days, but it was finished a few days ago. They restructured and only had to close two stores.

I was waiting to see if they would liquidate some inventory before future proofing myself as I intend to HEAVILY use two of their containers for breeding and raising most fossorial species. Didn't see any price changes, so I guess the silver lining is they might continue producing the containers I use lol.

Just did phase one of the plan to future proof myself by doubling the enclosures I have today. Phase two will be to double again, but that will be in a few months lol. These aren't exactly cheap....

Protip: Order online and choose the store pickup option if doing something bulk like this. They keep A LOT of stuff in the back, I guess to prevent damage. There was only one of the cereal containers and two of the medium containers on the shelves, yet they wheeled out unopened cases to me for my same day order.
got a link for the pictured type of containers? Thanks.

If I post a link, it'll likely get taken down in time due to the forum rules, but I can tell you exactly how to find them (might regret this if they did discontinue the line lol).

The larger one is called The Home Edit by iDesign Cereal Canister and the SKU is 10082492.

The smaller one is called The Home Edit by iDesign Pantry Canister in the Medium size and the SKU is 10077095.

Going to The Container Store's website and throwing the SKU in the search bar will take you right to them.

EDIT: It's worth mentioning that iDesign and THE also have exlusive designs with Walmart for similar cereal containers. The flip top lid takes up half of the top, not just a small part of the front. IMO, the Walmart ones would have to be modified to lock as the lid isn't as snug as The Container Store design and is easily pushed open, but I do believe they are a bit cheaper in price.

Nice products, but I got a better deal. Michaels. Simply Tidy all-clear containers are 40% off, buy something inexpensive 2x from Michaels and get your rewards coupon for $15 off, then I use my 10% military discount and get this product for free. The young clerks never knew what hit them. :) Go to Michaels site and use item # Item # 10738074.

Ahh, I remember our communication on these and actually looked into them a bit, but haven't made it down to my local store to get one for testing purposes. I like the 4" width for the majority of fossorials that are 5" DLS and under as I'm guaranteed to get a window into their burrow that way, but I have been looking for an option for the larger fossorials like C. doriae or A. anax. On the to do list now.

Walmart did have a file folder holder by THE by iDesign available for awhile with practically the same dimensions and I snagged a few of those to prototype to use as haplotanks for the larger fossorials like C. doriae. I haven't seen them available in months and they required heavy modification to ensure a big 7" DLS fossorial couldn't brute force the latch from inside, so I'm definently in the market for a more readily available option to try.
