My parents (especially my mom) are against keeping really anything other than dogs so this is the closest I can get to the real thing right now (I built the big one myself) and yes I still play with Lego 😂

I have an Optimus Prime I haven't started yet. No shame in Legos or dreaming about when the day comes when you can actually have a real tarantula! I can remember playing with toy snakes when I was a kid before my mom would actually let me keep a real one! Lol

you gotta visit legoland if you ever get a chance they have entire cities built there ny,golden gate bridge etc.its cheaper than an amusement park just as fun until you enter the lego stores  but so many different kits you can buy there from cars to a 6 foot plus darth vader made of legos

I probably shouldn't say this, but Ts are some of the easiest pets to hide from other household members! They don't smell, they make no noise, they don't require being taken out of their enclosures at all, most of them don't require huge enclosures, and their maintenance is legit lower than it is for most houseplants.

I speak from experience by the way! The GF is arachnophobic (tho she's getting better) and she's against me getting more Ts and I've literally added several more Ts to my collection and she's completely oblivious to it😂.

I wasn't into Ts when I was still living with my parents, but if I was, and they opposed it, I'd just buy a sling and bring it home in my pocket or bag or whatever, and keep it in a drawer or a closet or something. Depending on the species a medium size tupperware container would do as its enclosure even when it's an adult or subadult... Just thinking out loud here🙄

my parents are now against me getting more Ts because the irritation of the urticating hairs . But I could simply buy ones that don’t have them or wear rubber gloves during occasions when I could be haired . Most the time they would rather hide then kick hairs .
. Hate to have to resort to sneaking them In
 .

Uh yeah that wouldn’t work for me I easily have the smallest room in the house and share it with one of our dogs so for me hiding a T wouldn’t be hard keeping it alive and out of my laundry on the other hand especially with in the winter (my room is near the front of the house and has a giant window that lets the outside control the main temp in my room) would be extremely hard. Not even going to think about trying to explain a package from fed ex that says live animal or sudden skin problems from urticating hairs in my laundry😆

What’s their reasoning of why you can’t have one ? When lots of people have scarier pets like snakes and big angry lizards lol  Ts are tiny compared to some of those reptiles . I had around the same amount of spiders i do now when I was in high school. G rosea and most brachys are like pet rocks try and convince them to-let you have one. Pet hole if it decides to burrow … I walk our little Bichon frise dog snowflake like almost every day , don’t gotta walk the Ts. Keep trying …
