I always in hunt for plastic bottle caps. To use them as water dishes in the enclosure.

Today, I’ve found it. The best one. It’s the bottle cap for a Dunkin iced coffee.

Its width, its depth, its general size, it’s just perfect in every way possible.

I am not much of a coffee drinker, but I think I soon will be…

I have a good contender, it has a better shape but a worse colour

Bottle caps of liquid Food replacement, "yfood" i think, or something similar, i had a relative collect them for me.

its slightly rounded on the bottom which makes it sit better on the soil.

but for the life of me the camera just wont pick up the real colour, which is an ugly violet. I am convinced it agrees with me that its just too ugly to look at. :yuck:

Not gonna lie, I've been putting some research into buying a wholesale quantity (1k±) of bottle caps from a supplier just due to the sheer number of animals I'm working with these days, quantity discount, and straight from the manufacturer means you don't have to be concerned about what the cap has been used for.

Took the step recently for shipping vials. A 100 pack of Thornton vials is like $25 plus shipping, but an 1800 pack is only like $175.

If you're buying bulk, might I suggest not using caps? The threads are harder to clean, can probably get something as cheap but smooth. I use slice jar lids that the factory messed up and didn't punch right, so they are smooth.

As they are punched, I wonder if they can sell them by the thousands without threads?
