Ok I was looking to switch some of my setups from basic stripped utilitarian enclosures to a more natural setup and was looking for some advice from the more knowledgeable herpers on the board. I am looking at changing my Bearded Dragons and Mali Uromastyx cages, mainly because the need to upgrade sizes as come and it just seems to be the best time to do it. Feel free to suggest without concern to cost, because with only a few reptiles I can afford to spend a little extra time and money on them. I have a few ideas but am always open to a new perspective from people.:)

Jeremy, I have my adult male bearded dragon set up in a 60 gallon glass reptile style terrarium with a sliding screen top (I leave the top off as he is too big and lazy to try and jump out). I have red calci-sand for substrate with several fake resin branches that look almost real. there are several fake plastic cacti and he regularly knocks them over.

for the uromastyx, get slate or other type of flat rocks, and make caves out of them by putting 2 on the bottom of the enclosure a few inches apart, then another piece on top. other types of rocks and pieces of driftwood will also make it more natural.

check out this thread to see pictures of my uromastyx enclosures.
