 Well my smithi Houdini gave me some thanks today, in the form of a molt - I checked on him when I woke up, and in the morning fog it look like he had flipped - HOT DIGGETY - but as the fog cleared and I regained my wits, it turned out he had just finished molting (as usual, I j-u-u-u-st missed it!) and was on his back ready to re-flip, as it were (is there a term for that? ...) When I came back a few minutes later, he had indeed gotten up on his feet again, and I was able to retrieve the molt before "exuvium rigor mortis" set in - got the best, most intact one I've collected so far. And of course Houdini is beautiful in his new threads!
Never mind photos - just look at the ones on Goomba's "b. smithi girl in pre-molt" thread from a few days ago - they're practically identical, right down to the molt!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!
