Thanks for your help on the behaviour of my corn snake.

After being stood up and absolutely motionless for about 15 minutes he went a bit mad going round in circles and screwing his face into his bark.

5 minutes later 1 new snake and one perfect shed

I ordered those books as well

PS: Why was he stood up and motionless anyone???

I figure maybe he was sensing vibrations in the air to see if it was all clear to take off his pants.

No problem... told you there was nothing to worry about.

Who knows... baby snakes are a bit inclined to spaz out for no reason, so I wouldn't read to much into it. There may be some instinctual predisposition to "duck and cover" before making themselves vulnerable like that, but I have no idea...
