CM - I took your advice that I read in another thread awhile back about soaking a molt in slightly soapy water - it worked perfectly! I had a really crumpled up genic molt that I had kept for months, hoping that I would somehow find a way to straighten it out. Like a charm! It's perfect now, except the epigastric area (of course!). Genics are so beautiful I couldn't bear to toss the exuvia away.
Thanks for the tip. :)

You are welcome, and if I had any idea where I got the bit from, I'd give credit to them. That's the problem with my mind, I remember a lot of stuff, I just rarely have any idea where I got it from initially.

We have used glycerin (an ingredient in soap) and water. It works quite well and the exuvia won't smell springtime fresh. You get the soften without the suds. You can buy glycerin at any store, it usually around the first aid stuff. We bought one small bottle about a year ago and still have it. You only have to add a few drops to water.
