Ya they are, but I think they'll be fine. All my other smaller enclosures are being used and to save some money bought a size up from what I would have normally. This is the first time I have used a larger cup for babies.

Have you had problems with this?

I think I'm keeping a 1/2" sling in a vial that's a little bit too big for it, but I haven't tried feeding yet since it molted last Saturday. I guess as long as they're able to eat ok they'll be fine.

Yea once they get some webbing down I'm hoping they'll be as easy to feed as my minatrix. THEY however are not in such large houses, probably half the size of these. They stay up in the top though so I never would just throw crix in. Handing them food with tweezers works about 95% of the time for me, have to be careful not to scare them when I open the lid.
AND another thing is that I only have 10 or so spiders that I feed that way lol. They get special treatment :)

Hehehe...I just moved my P. irminia into a larger enclosure and I haven't tried feeding it yet. It built a tube web and is completely closed off, so I don't know how I'm going to feed it. {D Oh well, it's chubby right now anyway.

I moved my irminia into a gallon sized container a few months ago, but she's not as aggressive at feeding as most my other T's are. Especially my 2 adult versi's, they're almost scary to feed they get so excited. They have an attack first, ask questions later attitude about everything!

I'm really excited to see my minatrix grow up, here's a bad pic of one of them.

They sell them at Michael's, a craft store, but they dont come bigger than say...half gallon? I havent measured them. I like that its super clear plastic and they're easy to drill.

I have my versi in the same kind of container (about half that size though). We get ours at the plastic shop here in Riverside for about $2-$3 a piece.

Ya these containers have worked pretty good for everything I've had in them. They have some that the lid is basically flush with the top of the container and then some like the ones my versi's are in currently.

I dont think you can see it in the pics but the silk plant up in the top is actually secured up there so that if they do web up high I can still open it without completely destroying their web.
