Pretty cool. I wonder which six breeds were considered bad luck and not to be allowed in the home?
I lived with Siamese cats for almost 30 years. They are definitely a fascinating breed and as individual as people.

I'm wondering that myself. It sounds like something the boss would be interested in delving into. I'm going to zap her on that this evening. I certainly didn't have any idea that Thai cats were so well identified and defined. Interestingly, we just adopted a white cat with the one blue one yellow eye identical to the one in that video. That odd elongated head has become a prominent feature as she grows out of kittenhood.

A little googling (for what it's worth...) yielded:
Khao Manee - White with bi-colored eyes
Suppalak/Suphalak is comparable to Burmese, some color phases comparable to Tonkinese
Si Sawat = Korat
Wickianmas = Siamese
Konja = black with yellow eyes - comparable to Bombay

According to the sites above, the six bad luck cats were more per their behavior versus appearance, except for the tabby cat.

Interesting tangent. :)

Adding to that. Khao Manee=White jewelry. Korat is a city and district.

I feel bad for the breeds with generic problems that cause health issues like Persian and munchkin. But healthy ones should be preserved the others I wish they improve breed health for the animals sake.
