Tex rat snake is full!

I went out of town and saved this rat snake from cars on the way back, dropped it in a safe place. It had eaten a rabbit, I could feel it in there.

always a rewarding feeling to save one from becoming road pizza. that's an awesome snake whose eyes are not bigger than its stomach

Beautiful animal - glad you moved it from the road. We've had a few warm days in our area and I'm already seeing snakes dead on the roads; it's tragic.

I don't keep reps anymore, just two or three snakes interest today. The Texas Rat is almost as generic as you can get in the area. It's not of interest to collectors that choose to ignore the laws. The rat snake is the first and only snake that I've been bitten by without seeing the snake first, I'll never forget that feeling. I stuck my hand in an old water well pump and then "something" bit me.
