i pulled my Avicularia sp Peru Purple Sac on day 21-
well i checked on the eggs today.,and today is day 37,
out of 96 eggs only 16 have made it to eggs with legs and all the others were in a clump with dead eggs stuck to each other.
i dont know what could have happen.,i used one of the deli cup with a coffee filter incubators.,and i guess they all dryed up.,but after going out and buying one of the snap lid one's like in Robc's videos., im hoping for the rest to make it.the ones that have made it to Eggs with legs, they dont really look that great.,but after, having this experience,im actually hoping to one day breed Ts on my own,and hopefully get them to survive.

Thanks every one who offered me advice

Next time try higher humidity. This species is one of those harder to keep alive Ts.

Don't be hard on yourself, these sacs are hard to come by and 16 IS better than none.

I did the same thing with my first curly sac. Only 12 of them made it out of around 400 or more.

update

i was just letting every one know, that all the slings are now Dead...

i pulled the sac on day 21? and they were still eggs,so after 61 days,0 have made into second instar. a couple days ago,i had a few 1st instar's dry up,so i though to mist the aquarium the incubator was in to raise the Humidity.,so turns out some of the water got on whats left of the slings, and i guess they all drowned.I Feel so bad about it,,but i bet if i wasent so impatient, and left the sac with her longer, and made a right incubator that could have held humidity,i could have gotten a few slings out of it.:(

Sorry for your loss. I am a huge avi fan and this is one T that I particularly love.

With every loss, there are def. lessons to be learned by all hobbyists.

GL with your gal in the future.

Hey, you still have some great slings. That's a great specie. Congrats! Higher humidity is really important but with that comes the chance for mold and the problem of clumping can still occur. It's really important to check the eggs often and remove any that start to look bad. Good luck with the rest of your eggs with legs. That's a specie I want to get into sometime in the future.

The mom was a really good mom.I just just pulled the sac too soon, the Eggs were 100% fertile. I guess i did one thing right, let here keep them for that many days with out them going bad or her eating them.

Thanks Guys.
