Aside from the pinstripe ball python I bought for Matt, here's what we got at the Daytona FL breeder's expo! {D

0.0.4 C. fasciatum
0.1.0 H. lividum
0.0.2 H. maculata
0.0.1 T. gigas

Got all of them rehoused and fed, and the python was having fun soaking earlier and making itself right at home :D Unfortunately, I didn't see that my poor female Cobalt was missing a leg, and she's also missing the tip of her pedipalp :( and right after I rehoused her, she gave me a nice smile of thanks for getting her out of that disgusting container! I'm gonna try to post some more pics to this thread later of the H. macs and the C. fasciatum slings.

The H. lividum...

The T. gigas Matt bought for me...

Matt and his pinstripe ball :D

Matt's beautiful pinstripe...

It was a cool show! My very first :) I got to see some sweet pythons that I wanted, but simply didn't want $1400 on my credit card for a 100% het pied... :8o but I wanted to!!

I ended up splurging, but it was so totally worth it!! {D

Sweet! Wow $1400 for a 100% het pied?! I'm guessing that was an adult female. Glad to hear you had fun for your first time.

:)

Oops - I didn't mean het. I got overly excited about all the pieds I saw at the show! This is why I don't talk about things I know nothing about :8o  I have been informed that for that price they were just pieds.

Ohkay... I've got a lot to learn before I start yakking about this crap!

Overall though for someone who's very clueless when it comes to pythons and shows, it was awesome!

Off topic, but Sarah that's a beautiful avatar. The color of the moon accentuates your red hair nicely.

It will. Ball python morphs are endless. And the prices ranges go from $50, to thousands of dollars! It takes a while to learn the market, for say. You should check out SnakebytesTV on Youtube if you already haven't. BrianB is a cool informative dude.

Thanks, I get the reddish color from my dad's side of the family, a lot of English/Irish whereas my mother's side is English/German! I adjust my camera to have warmer tones for portraits, so my hair actually appears redder than normal in that photo. The moon photograph was a lucky shot for me, I thought it tied in nicely with the portrait!

I'm learning and that's a good thing! :D Matt and I have been watching Brian B. on youtube and the vids are pretty awesome! There are so many awesome morphs out there, what really is interesting is the genetics since I'm a major biology nerd!

Bloods are cool but there's just this attraction I have to balls :D

That didn't come out right... but you get what I mean!

Until I get my genetics down right I am going to make sure I do NOT talk about morphs regarding hets until I figure out which end is up! Haha.. {D

That's one expensive gecko... :} I'll pass on those. I mean, yeah... they're cool and everything, but they're missing 4 legs and 2 pedipalps, not to mention they need 6 more eyes.

Good to know I'm praised for being a nerd! That doesn't happen often! I've always been interested in snakes, especially green tree pythons because they look so freaking cooooool  but we picked up a normal morph female ball python from a couple on the Jax craigslist looking to give her a home, and I just fell in love with her. Not to mention having a reptile master tell me what kind of pythons will make the different designer morphs... we're going to breed this male pinstripe with the female ball. We're also going to pick up a pastel... I can't wait!

I'll admit... looking at the different designer morphs and trying to figure out which two (or three... or more... bred on down the line) makes what morph, it does confuse me slightly... but I'll get it eventually. I'll just have to try flash cards or something ;)

Ha, your welcome :) Yes green tree python are so sick! One of favorites for sure. Pinstripes are a cool morph to work with, tons of potential. Making a lemon blast will be a great reward! Not sure if you know about NERD, but this might help a bit. And I'll post a link to a ball python breeder game! Its quite fun :)
