Tarantulas and the "wife" ;)

In contrast to the other post here where the OP was looking for advice on how to manage relationships and collecting, I bought my girlfriend of nine months her first tarantula for her birthday at the beginning of this month. She loved it!

I'd been teasing her about a "birthday centipede" for weeks and when she opened the equipment first she had an expression of deep distrust on her face. I had the spider in a separate bag / container and gave it to her last. I was slightly concerned about giving a live animal, but knew if she didn't want her I'd take her.

If your girlfriend is nine months (old), isn't she a little bit too young to care for a B emilia, even a sling one? (... and I don't speak about you dating her...)

lol that's one way to get her on the dark side! If you cant beat em join em lol I am ferociously trying to get my wife to go to a local reptile show at the end of the month lol well see what happens!

Good luck, dude! Maybe trade off and do something with her that isn't normally your scene to make it happen
