Right not i am using a combination of coco fiber and zoo med creature soil. I was thinking about adding peat moss and too soil to the mix as well as some spaghnum moss to the top. Would this be suitable for my Tarantula?

agreeing those are fine. I would just like to add that in my personal experience, straight up coco fiber has been a huge pain in the booty. it developed mold quickly And my fossorials hated it. I would always mix something with it but that’s personal experience, plenty of people do amazing with it.

I’ve used straight coco with NW and OW fossorials- no issues- weird
experiment with what works for you and your spiders.

You don't say what species you have. Some of that added materials may not be necessary, but not harmful. Some arid species may not need the spaghnum moss. I really liked creature soil but switched to Biodude's brand.

Yea you can use any of those or any combination of those as long as they are all free of additive and chemical like fertilizers.

My fossorials have no problems with cocopeat.

I nuke my cocopeat in the microwave after rinsing multiple times thoroughly and have not had any issues at all with mold. Even mold from feeder bits didn't seem to have spread and go away on it's own, although I have observed that some native springtail have found their way into the enclosure. I have since also been adding some activated carbon powder into my newer mix. Seems to hold up excellently against molding. That said I only add the activated carbon powder because it was free due to a shipping mixup and have no better use for it lol.
