I found this in my research for book specifically on poecilotheria. This book was written in 1917 so it is of course out dated from the information we now hold but very interesting not the least. Give it a read it's not very long and it's cool to see how much our level of education on all tarantula's has evolved. Has anyone else ever seen this book before? apologies if there was already a thread on this subject. here is the book

It says the British Museum's P. Metallica specimen, received in 1898, was found near the town of Gooty, India. Now I know where the name came from.

Its not a book, nor from 1917..and its only a few pages long..

Its an article from the 'The Annals and Magazine of Natural History', later becomeing the 'Journal of Natural History'.

Despite this, can you read it on google books? I have a google account, can add it into my 'to read' list of 'my library' but can no way find how to read or even open it... are google trying to sell it to me?

because as many other old articles/books, its free and open access on the biodiversity heritage library...
