Tarantula molting sequence pics

Caught it on camera. I caught it premolt. Wasn't eating and kind of irritated. Started putting down silk, and turned over. Well here's the rest. I haven't been on the forum long so this might be boring for some but I think it's pretty interesting to watch them do this.

Aphonopelma anax was what I was thinking. Found under a rock in my backyard in Cedar Park/Austin.

no, i don't think i will ever get tired of seeing that. the shot with the fangs all in white still... that is amazing. seriously, that is some good stuff

See we all waste so much time brushing our teeth, when all we need to do to get nice bright pearly whites is moult. {D

I thought so, too, when I initially saw the drastic color change, but there are no bulbs. :)

Not boring at all. It is nice to see a series of pictures that show a molt going right. Everything that can be found about bad molts....it makes you start to think all T's are doomed to die horrible deaths in their old skins. Thanks for sharing. I just got back into the hobby and am eagerly awaiting for them to grow.

Nope, not boring at all. Very cool in fact. I can't wait until my little guy molts, but he'll probably do it from inside his hide and I'll never know until he emerges one day bigger and without his bald spot. Thanks!
