Hi,
First of all, sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't seem to find much in the search results.
I have a B.albopilosum sling that has been in pre-molt for about 2 months now. I just checked on it right now and it's laying against the side of its enclosure in a very odd way. It looks like it might be molting, but on its side, rather than upside down on its back. I don't want to disturb it in case it is indeed molting, so I've left it alone.
I was just wondering if this was normal or if there might be something else going on here?

They'll molt in positions other than the usual "on their back" position. I've had a lot of my spiders molt on their sides up against the perimeter of the enclosure, and all of them are still alive and kicking. You made the right call in leaving it alone; be patient and let the situation resolve itself of its own accord.

Thanks for the reply. The sling is still is the same position and nothing has happened as of yet, but I'll check on it again later. I'm still fairly new to keeping Ts, and with the exception of my adult A.versicolor molting in a rather awkward position inside her tube web, all of my Ts thus far have molted on their backs, be it slings, juveniles or adults. So my sling molting on its side is a new experience for me, though I probably did over-react a bit at the time of posting this thread, lol.

wait till you see them build a web trampoline and molt on the side walls of its enclosure. Kind of cool to watch them molt over a safety net

Thanks for the replies!
I'm pleased to say that my sling has recently molted just fine. It's out of its old skin now, though currently still on its back. I'm definitely relived. :)
