So the Tarantula Hawk, do they always win against a tarantula, what if they went up against a more aggressive one? On TV shows I always see them taking down docile tarantula species... and yes, it makes me sad all the time.

The Pepsis wasp only encounters Ts in its natural habitat. So it would only encounter new world Ts, which tend to be more docile.

I believe there is one which attacks Theraphosa blondi.

Apparrently, T hawk wasps always lose thier battles in captivity.

there is a lenghty video of a wasp hawk on this site, out in the open they have an advantage because they can fly to here they need to be and pick their battles, in a container the T rules.

I think I read somewhere that it was done, and Usually the T wins that battle if both are placed in an enclosure where the wasp can't escape. But in the wild the wasp usually win the battle against the T.

I was at a lecture just a couple of weeks ago where it was stated that one species of T actually designed its burrow with a safe haven from a preditory wasp very ingenius of it I thought.
