Hello, I've been keeping Tarantulas since februrary and I've noticed little flies in my wetter enlosures, i've placed sticky fly traps down and hasn't seemed to help the issue im watiting for my substrates to dry out but im a bit wary with me having slings, I live in the UK and I'm wondering the best way to get rid of them I'm assuming they're either fungus gnats or fruit flies, I've only ever fed my T's mealworms as of now and looking into other feeders into the future, my mealworms aren't affected as theyre in the fridge. Thanks for the help in advance

Fungus gnats and fruit flies thrive on more moist substrate. Adding ventilation to the top of your enclosures will help a lot on allowing cross ventilation and drying out your enclosures much more quicker.

If they are fungus gnats, they live and lay eggs in the top inch or two of wet substrate so getting rid of them completely can prove to be a task. Maybe try letting the substrate dry out a bit in between moistenings like you are. I hope this helps.

Fastest way to get rid of them would be to replace the substrate, add more holes to the containers, & never let them get "wet" to that degree again.
Or add holes & air & wait.

As mentioned above, let the substrate to dry out. Fungus gnats need damp substrates to thrive, without it you will stop their propagation.
