Thats not up to us. If you have only recently acquired the tarantula then it may be in pre-molt. They do this sometimes when they are closer to molting than not. post-molt, you will see much more vibrant colors. lather, rinse, repeat. You are talking about a B. smithi, right? You know there are other "smithi" than just the brachy?

Yeah that happens. You'll come to learn over time that pictures you see do not always represent the majority of T's. A lot of T's tend to dull as adults sometimes. They are all different. They are unique beautiful spiders anyways, right?

They will dull as they come into pre molt. Getting dull so soon after a molt is something I can't say I've ever had happen with any of my spiders. Not that there's anything to worry about though, and nothing you can do about it.

How big is the spider? From the time my B. smithi got it's adult coloration, up until it hit about the 3" mark, it's coloration was extrememly dull, even after a molt. It wasn't until it got bigger that it held it's bright colors after a molt.

Or color a nice Poecilotheria fasciata red with a bit of beetjuice :p

Nah, it's normal if it's a sling, and I wouldn't bother about it...

With a little patience, it'll explode with beautiful orange, and yellow colors....in time.
