Nice pics! I think I guessed them all, but what are the species? Very pretty spiders. Can't wait for mine to get that size!

I had to rehouse her today and was afraid, but she behaved herself so I gave her a nice cricket. 20200423_142923.jpg

Nice! How did you go about it? I'm picking up a P. regalis next week and it will be my biggest T transfer yet. I have rehoused many arboreals before, including P. irminia, but a mature female pokie is a different weight class ;)

She was very docile which threw me for a loop, it was scary but I used my new enclosure and her old one and I placed them side by side with the lid in hand and with a big paint brush I encouraged her to move and hold onto the paint brush. She turned around and just crawled into the other enclosure without any more nudging. Maybe this new molt changed her personality....for now. She was super fast and almost escaped on me when she was little.

My gooty saffire is a different story, slaps the tank and bolts off.

Good to hear that there are "nice" personality changes after molts too, haha. I rehoused my C. versicolor from hell yesterday. Touch her in any way and she bolts. But with arboreals, they usually tend to climb upwards. I open their enclosures from the top, let them crawl into the transfer cup, place that cup on top of the new enclosure and poke the T down trough the holes of the transfer cup.

Such transfers are easy with smaller arboreals, but I'd imagine that a mature female pokie packs some serious weight and could be a different kind of force. My P. metallica sling isn't that threatening yet ;)

Looks like my lil gal. Awesome T. Mines constantly out on display. Rarely ever does she hang out in her lil webbed burrow.

Last night she came out and she tackled this roach and had a great fight with it before dragging it back to her underground domain. Send me stories if you have some about some scuffles during feedings. 20200427_031658.jpg

Because of the quarantine I had to feed my d diamantinensis sling a cricket twice her size and she killed and ate it.

Just last night my avic avic ate a large female dubia. I gave it to her earlier in the day and instead of crawling down the driftwood to her it fell and immediately tunneled under her old molt mat that she had there. She went down and tried to grab it but it was protected by a blanket of silk and substrate. It played dead with the covers over its head and my girl hanging there patiently until nightfall and when I checked back in on the situation she had it.
Sometimes it is best to just hide under your blanket till morning. 20200427_000212.jpg
I just so happened to take this picture to post on another thread last night. That was actually when I found that she had won the battle of wills.
