Here are some of the beetles i have found a good number of in Taiwan. I know there are members here from taiwan, perhaps we can get more photos from other members? or even of other asian countries. seems to be a good philipeno community here, and some people from singapore.

Unknown Beetle...still havn't figured out the specie on this one. i have 2 dead specimens.

i lived in BC for most my life. the PNW has equally beautifull inverts, just the dwarf versions :cool:

the bugs here are ratehr large in my opinion!

the unknown hopper is Chondracris rosea, biggest in Taiwan, which is quite common down in south

oh yeah, watch for the rear legs, i got kicked in the eye when i was a kid

excellent thanks for the ID, it was in Kenting. ya their back legs are NASTY. some very hard spines, liek those weird cactus palm looking things i found them in. seem to be a nice food for ants as well...
