Hey everybody, It's rare that I bring up something for discussion anymore so bare with me. I've had my adult A. versicolor for just about a year and a half, maybe two years now and she still won't web anything up! I've got plenty of nice corky things for her to climb on, it's weird. She has a small hammock near the one bottom corner of her cage that she uses, but that's it. What's everybody think? just not a webber? maybe she's deciding to be terrestrial..

She'll web if she's so inclined.
If she's "normal" in most other respects, I'd say nothing to worry about.

Tarantulas don't use their silk for hunting. Since you've had her for a year and a half, I'm assuming she's eating fine and behaving normally otherwise or you'd have posted long ago. So, just not a big webber.

I've noticed the amount of webbing a tarantula makes can be very individual-specific. For example, I've got two G. rosea, both female, both about 4.5", both in identical setups. One has webbed the entire substrate so you can't see it. The other hasn't made any visible webbing at all.

Yea I currently have a 2 inch A versicolor and it has yet to even made a hammock all it does is hangout on the enclosure wall all day everday lol. As mentioned individuals vary its unexplainable why some choose to and some don't.
