Hello, I recently got into Damon sp. I have a female and a male housed togeather in a 4' tall arboreal setup.

I am wondering if it is ok to use a plant grow light for their habitat? For all my t's with bioactive encloures with live plants I don't use additional light.

I thought it would be nice to get some moss growing and more live plants in the whip scorpion's enclosure. I am just worried about stressing them.

Anyone have any input? Thanks in advance.

There's a lot of "no" in your post -

Cohabbing: No.
Light: No.
Convoluted set up: No.

Even pairs can get tired of eachother. There's people who have lost rare, expensive species because they just decided to snap. Generally, you leave a breeding pair in for a couple weeks and remove them. Light is a certain no, they are photophobic. I keep mine in darkness in at all times, a grow light would not be good for their health.

Convoluted set ups with plants are unnecessary and also can stress the animal.
