While doing a weekly cleaning of my rats cage, I noticed that she has a blotch of green on her tail? What could this be?

Do you have any green pieces of wood in the cage? Or something with green dye? I know my rat got wet once, went in his edible log and got a permanent red stain on his coat from it. Just an idea =)

Sounds about right. If she pee'd on something or if something was wet and her tail rested on it it probably transfered. I've had this before. Just give her a bath. :) If it doesn't come off it will on it's own. As long as it's green and not blueish you're alright.
