It's a Canon Powershot A410. I liked the pics in Kirdec's thread and it's the camera he was using.

Wow, those are some really impressive pics. I especially love the detail on the Aponophelma seemani and Grammostola rosea images!

I'd love a camera that can do such good close-up shots. I'm a bit confused cos I just checked out the specs for your shooter and it's not as 'high-tech' as my camera, but I could never get pics that quality with mine. How much of it is down to technique, or is it just a point-and-click job? Cos if so I am so getting me one of them!

Nice work, keep 'em coming :D

Well, my technique is zero so the credit for the pics goes to the camera.
It just has a pretty good macro mode and a super macro mode. Thats why I decided to get it after seeing Kirdecs photos and finding out that it was pretty cheap.

Avicularia avicularia

I tried getting a close up of the foot. I used the digital zoom and lost a lot of quality but I expected that.

Unbelievable pictures and great collection! I like the close-up of the foot with the tiny claw at the end.

A few more pics.

I've been trying to get a good pic of this guy for awhile but he won't cooperate.
This is the best I've managed so far.
Poecilotheria regalis

My other Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens

.5 inch Lasiodora difficilis

Another shot of my Brachypelma smithi. Heh, over a month later and that little clump of dirt is still stuck to it's abdomen.
