So I swapped the cork bark in one of my seladonia vials yesterday to accommodate the growth. One of my seladonia has been wandering around and trying (but failing) to hide in its trap door. Within an hour it had already started construction on a new trapdoor, of which I was able to get about 6 minutes of video. Has anyone else managed to get footage of this behavior?

Here is the video. Not the best quality. I’m sorry.

Beautiful tarantula with interesting behavior; thanks for sharing.

I see a pair of chopsticks; do you use them in place of tongs?

Only for my more defensive Ts. My M. robustum and B. hamorii I can just use tongs. Never had a threat pose out of either, and the robustum just sticks it’s butt and legs in the air lol Such a frustrating T to rehouse 🤣
