My Nhandu coloratovillosus escaped her enclosure!!!

AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

The first time she was just behind my chest of drawers which is right next to the enclosure.

NOW I can't find her anywhere. I believe I checked before I left for school and she was in her enclosure.

I get back and she's gone...

under the bed...
in my closet...
curtains...
furniture...
drawers...
computer desk...
nearby bedrooms...
bathroom...
living room...
trash can...
computer bag...
underneath and behind ridiculous stuff like my rock collection chest...
ceiling...
walls...

Is that list where you've already checked or where you plan to check:? If former...check again. Waiting until dark and suddenly flashing the lights on will often find them in the middle of the room or on the wall somewhere. Perhaps place a water dish on the floor in the room where she escaped, and block off all exits until dark.

I also suggest you evaluate your enclosure and make adjustments. Good luck :)

I hope you find your baby :(

Oh Katsuru, congrats on your new baby :)
sometimes things just happen, from faulty-made enclosures (my blunder) to forgetting to close a lid.
I always make sure the lids are closed, and if I am feeding, or rehousing I try to be extremely careful :)

Well...

I had a P. Metallica sling escape a few years back  entirely the fault of my nephew :) This was at my home and I was frantic (at the time I was a hobbyist and not a breeder) because I had lost a $200 spider and it was probably going to die. Well one morning when I got up to go to work, about 2 weeks later, I awoke to her sitting on my pillow. She was sharing it with me {D So, lets hope she is nice enough to want to come back!

Yeah tarantulas are surprisingly resilient. So just keep looking and watch your step. And if it is a big T then you will eventually notice in the middle of the night that there is a giant black and white spider on your wall....

I keep her in the bottom drawer of a plastic Sterilite night stand. The drawers are clear and there are slits (not big enough for a 5" T to fit through in my opinion) between the next drawer and the current one which provide ventilation.

She was in the bottom drawer, my Adult female Chaco in the middle drawer, and my sub-adult female Redleg in the top drawer.

She knows something the chaco and redleg don't!!!

I MUST find her (hope it's a her)...:(

Nah! My 4in versicolor slipped into a bent piece of paper (this was a book, and the page was folded about 0.75 in the air!). Look EVERYWHERE! And yeah, turning on the lights at night works for me alot! Always have for me at least ;)

Hi I'm from the philippines and my P.Baeri got out from it's enclosure and saw him got to a half inch hole at our house. I really love that guy but unfortunately the hole of our house was a hole a rat made. will there be any chance that he will come back? a baeri is a dwarf T and he only measures 2". the only problem that i never caught it before it got to the hole was he is very quick.

Hope someone could help me in this situation...

I found her 2 days ago. Sorry for posting so late.
I found her on the screen of my p. regalis' cage.
She didn't like being found by the way...
She needs counseling...;)

Ugh, that's HORRIBLE (and great at the same time, cuz you found him/her)! My sweetheart got distracted while feeding his P. metallica and somehow walked away with the lid still off. Thankfully, I noticed before anything happened.
