Help! My Blue Femur Beauty (Cyclosternum pulcherrimaklaasi) has a swollen abdomen. I only noticed this yesterday and it appears to be getting worse. Struggling to find much info regarding causes or possible treatments. Please see attached photo. Really hope someone on here can help, all suggestions welcome.

That’s unusually large! All you can do is wait and watch.

Did you continue to feed even when she was large? Hoping she’s ok. Offer water but no food until the next molt. Could be a tumor, who knows?

She hasn't eaten in a while. She is due a moult but I've never seen this before. I've had her 10+ years and never seen anything like this.

Other than not eating, have you noticed any other behavioral differences? Lethargy, not drinking, not defecating, etc.? I agree that it looks like some kind of tumor or cyst, but sometimes fecal impaction presents as a swollen/enlarged abdomen (although, this is more localized than you would expect if it was impaction). In either case, there really isn't any way to treat it. Just make sure the enclosure is as safe as possible (no hard edges for her to fall on and further damage the area) and provide fresh water while you wait to see if a molt remedies the issue. Good luck.

Her, being that old and the size of the bump, I'm not that confident. But all the hope!

Peace & Quiet Location with fresh water made available, no need to feed.
Hope for a Healthy Future Molt.
