so i get home today and my girlfriend says she has a present for me. she is like i know your getting into geckos now so i got you a cool lizard so i look at what she has gotten. i am looking at a 8+ inch baby Black and white Tegu i look over to my girlfriend with a bewildered look on my face she has always balked at getting a monitor or any big lizard so i ask what do you know about it she says i was getting your water crystals and i liked its green head. not that i am getting rid of it we will just let how big it get be a surprise to her just like my new project building a 4x4x8 enclosure

any one ever tamed down or trained a tegu before i could use some help in that department

i have had boas and such in the past not for a few years now as i have not till recently had the space. had a red tailed boa for many years and a retic for like five before i had to relocate some years back. not intimidated by a tegu but never worked with one before. actually i have worked with snakes, turtles, and some other small lizards anoles, geckos, ect... never a big guy though always wanted one but could never convince sarah to get a monitor i guess i never thought of trying to slip a tegu past her.
