Can I just keep them in a large container filled with bran. How do I give them water? Moist potato slices? What do the beetles look like? Are they efficient breeders? Are they good for my spiders?
Thank you!

Be careful with saying that... Some people get angry at the ones of us who tell people to search...

A simple search gave this, and a few other threads.

Thanks all, but I'm still confused. Can't I just breed them in a kk with bran or do I really need peat and to change them out all the time? Do the adults still eat the same stuff that the larve do?

1. Yes, you can keep them in any container you want even if its a kk.
2. You will find bran is generally expensive by comparison, but if you want to feed them on it go ahead, no problem.
3. Change them out? No you don't have to. However, you HAVE to remove each worm and put them into solitary confinement or it will not turn into an adult beetle. So you isolate as many worms as you want to become adults and leave the rest to stay worms.
4. Adults and larvae eat the same things- which is just about anything. Fish food happens to have a good balance of ingredients to promote healthy superworms that grow fast enough to be worthwhile.
5. You will find that you need 2 or 3 containers, though, because one will get crowded. Feed out of one while they populate another, etc.

Play with it and you will get the hang of it eventually.

LOL Pinkfoot, all that info at one time was just too overwhelming.
