I am currently breeding mealworms and i'm just starting to work with supers. They are all nearly 2 inches. I housed them separately, so they will pupate. Nothing has happened in two days. Any idea if I'm doing anything wrong? I am going to try adding more food.

Don't feed them at all and it'll take a bit longer than two days. I just put mine in individual plastic cells in a tackle box and a bit later I had little white/yellow aliens.

In the past I tried this and every pupa turned brown and died. I never raised any to adults to date.

I have one super that burrowed before it was eaten. It placed itself against glass, so I can clearly see it. It took it a little less than a week to pupate. I'll see if anything grows out from this alien.

Are you sure? The legs and head turn a dark brown when they are very close to emerging....they're very easy to get to pupate and emerge....
